Justin Berk, MD MPH MBA is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics. His primary clinical site is the Medicine-Pediatrics Primary Care Center where he sees patients and serves as a preceptor for residents. His academic interests include primary care, addiction medicine, and medical education.

He graduated from Yale University and received an MPH from the Yale School of Public Health. He completed medical school at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and received his MBA from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech. He completed his residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Combined Internal Medicine – Pediatrics Urban Health Residency Program in Baltimore, MD.

He serves as a Producer of the Internal Medicine podcast, “The Curbsiders.” He is a dedicated advocate for buprenorphine deregulation and increased access to medications for opioid use disorder in the community and criminal justice setting.
