Feasibility Study: Block MMP

The second place winner of the September 2019 2-day Hackathon event, where community members, students, and professionals gathered to brainstorm innovative solutions to the opioid crisis. As a winner, Block MMP received funding as an ongoing feasibility study projects as part of the COBRE’s Translational and Transformative Core.

Block MMP, is a centralized electronic health record platform that addresses the problem of methadone dosage tracking. Block MMP uses permissioned blockchain technology to securely store and share patient’s methadone dosing information between medical facilities, ensuring patients receive their daily treatment dose even when their methadone clinic is closed. Block MMP is currently in the product development and testing phase and is working with stakeholders both in the US and Europe to bring the platform to market.
